New blog

I wanna welcome myself back to my blog. Its been a long time since I posted here. If this blog is alive, he might wanna sleep me already. But the good thing is, if somebody cares, im back to blogging.

How would it be like posting to a blog with a new template, new widgets, and new blog title? Im talking about my blog that recently undergone a total overhaul. Now my blog would feel ten times cooler than before.

I decided to revamp my blog for myself. I know personally unless someone will disagree with me that I am really a happy person. But while I was reading my previous posts I saw myself as a lonely, emo person similar to the one who sits in a dark corner crying. But hey, thats not so me! So as a fresh start, from "In my kaleidosocope" I am now naming my blog - "\m/r bright side." More happy thoughts will be posted in my blog.

My TOP10 Highlights of 2009

The year 2009 is just about to end and we are to face the first decade of the 21st century. Its time to bid our goodbyes to 2009, but I'll try to do it in a more appealing way as my tribute to 2009, since it became so good to me.

So this is how I will remember you, 2009! My countdown of your wonderful events.

10. Facebook
Is it just me or everyone nowadays is addicted to facebook? Almost all my friends from friendster migrated to facebook. Whenever I enter computer shops I would see people checking their facebook acounts, or playing farmville, or mafia wars or worst while walking in the middle of the road a friend will shout on me, "HEEEY I ADDED YOU ON FACEBOOK SO PLS CONFIRM IT!" Truly, Facebook is the new trend in town. I think i've been hearing facebook back 2008 but its only 2009 that it became this big. Great!

9. IWC in Highstreet 5 reached level 3
IWC reached level 3 in Highstreet 5 online game and is consistently earning good value of contrique each day so the guild can advance to the next level. This must really be hard for the guild considering how the members will spend their real money for top-ups in exchange for the guild's contrique to raise. I salute all the members and the guild leaders behind this. You made me WOW!

8. Songs and Movies
Its 2009 when I gained interest of watching movies online. I ended up sleeping 6 in the morning finishing three online movies in a row. And a few of the unforgettable movies I have seen this year are The Dog of Flaunders, The Wedding Singer, and Finding Nemo (2 Classics and 1 animation hehe). As for the songs who has caused me the LSS, those are LInkin Park's New Divide, Owl City's Fireflies, and The RJA's Your Guardian Angel.

7. New House, Own room
This is the year when I heard the news from my mother that we might possibly move to a new home and me getting a room of my own. I rightaway demanded for my room to be painted with dark blue. I just would like it to be like that...dark.

6. Death of popular personalities
Everyone mourned to the death of Francis M., and our beloved Tita Cory. The whole nation was in grief but nevertheless the whole world witnessed how we Filipinos unite in times like this.

5. Debating competition champion
I don't wanna sound naive for bringing this up again but I just cant help it but to be proud of my self for this achievement. This is my first serious winning moment. I've been joining several competitions before but this is the first time that I completely felt fulfilled.

4. Back to School
School has never been this cool for someone who's out of serious-school for like 2-3 years. I was really glad going back to school, learning new things, and meeting new friends.

3. 1.875 GPA
I got good grades last semester with 1.875 GPA. This grade is skyrocketing high for someone like me who only study before exams. If I cant surpass this, at least retain this.

2. Lhen
Im so thankful to meet a beautiful girl with a very beautiful heart who undoubtedly I shared love with up to now. The first girl who made me sang on telephone call and who thinks and says I look like winnie the pooh. Sweet.

1. Nanay-Tatay, reunited.
Up to know Im thinking if I'm still living my weirdest dream of my parents being together again. I really can't believe and not even them can explain how after 21 years of them having their separate lives, can they still find theirselves at each other's arms. I will always look-up to their lovestory and this for me is a true, living fairytale. Just praying that this story will end like any other fairytales...That they lived happily ever after..

La Salle Interclub Debating Competition

I'll take a moment of my time to say how incredibly awesome I was. I'll shamelessly toot my own horn, so pls, just for this time, allow me to gloat.

I was chosen as one of the participants of our class, together with Derick and Ace for the U-Week's Inter-club Debating Competition in La Salle. I never said no for anything that can unleash my potentials, so definitely, I said YES when my classmates asked and volunteered for me.

During the competition proper, our team won during the elimination round. We bagged all the awards. I got the Best Debater award, my teammate was the Best Speaker, and our team being the best debating team.
For the championship round, We bagged all the awards again. I won 2 awards this time, the best speaker and the best debater award, and the best debating team making us the champion for the debating competition.

So there, our team out-shined and left our contenders empty handed. Kudos to the three of us in the team, its our combined efforts that put us on top.

In behalf of my team mates, I would like to thank these very important people:
1. our classmates who shouted-their-ass out just to cheer us up, uplift us, and motivate us during and even before the competition;
2. our friends and family whom we've been taking each of their several page's books as our reference;
3. and I personally wanna thank LHEN for her love that inspires me making me feel that I'm the smartest man in the world.

As the cliche goes, Life is full of challenges.-right! But we must not also leave the brighter side unseen for every challenges we have lies a wonderful surprise. So if your up for trying something, go for it. Winning isn't only about awards and recognitions but afterall, its the experience that you can get and bring with you, even when you grow old.

Nothing beats preparation. Keep on trying something new! Go for it!

RIP Francis M

March 6, Friday, we were all shocked by an announcement aired on TV that Francis M passed away. I was totally shocked for all I thought he had already recovered from leukemia. I can still remember last August 2008 when he first announced that he got leukemia, a cancer of the blood. From that on, I have been hoping for his recovery, and I often checked his blog for updates regarding his battle against leukemia.

Unfortunately, he died. But he died proving us that winners will not always be the last-man-standing. He didn't lose hope, he didn't quit, and thats what a winner should really be like - someone who doesn't give up.

I can say that Francis M really fought a good fight. He had his family that supported him all throughout the pain that he was feeling, and thats more than enough reason for him to fight cancer. Indeed, a battle really worth fighting for.

To everyone who grew up watching him on TV, who listened to his wonderful songs, who believed in his campaign for pinoy nationalism, who joined him in his battle against cancer, to those who prayed for him -
may he serves as an inspiration to all struggling and an eye-opener to those who are about to quit.

Rest in peace yo!
